ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A new building intended as temporary accommodation for police officers in Capiz was inaugurated Friday morning, April 17, inside Camp Teoderico Apil in Barangay Lanot.
The blessing and inauguration of the Transient Accommodation for Police Services Multi-Purpose Building of the Capiz Police Provincial Office was led by Capiz First District Rep. Howard Andrada Abendano Guintu.
A total of PHP8,888,213.09 was allocated by Guintu for the construction of the building.
Construction started June 23, 2025, and was completed Dec. 26, 2025.
Rev. Fr. Dale Orda, head confessor of the Holy Trinity Shrine, led the blessing of the building.
Col. Albert Tapulao Jr., Capiz police director, thanked Guintu for securing the funding that made the long-planned transient building a reality for the Capiz police.
Tapulao also said the congressman pledged to provide additional projects for the Capiz Police Provincial Office, including mobile patrol units for all police stations in the 1st District of Capiz.
