ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Personnel of the Tapaz Municipal Police Station arrested the province’s No. 2 most wanted person in Barangay Poblacion, Tapaz, Capiz, at about 12:57 p.m. April 25, 2026.
Police identified the arrested person only as alias “Oyog,” who was wanted for rape.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of Police Col. Albert D. Tapulao, Capiz police provincial director.
Police said the accused was ranked as the No. 2 most wanted person at the provincial level and No. 1 at the municipal level.
He was arrested for violation of Article 266-A, Paragraph 1 of the Revised Penal Code, with no bail recommended for the offense.
The accused is under the custody of the Tapaz Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
The Capiz Police Provincial Office said it remains firm in its efforts to locate and arrest wanted persons and ensure that justice is served.
In a separate operation, police arrested a man for alleged illegal possession of a firearm during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Santa Cruz, Ivisan, Capiz, on the morning of April 25, 2026.
The operation was conducted by the Ivisan Municipal Police Station and led to the arrest of alias “Toto,” an adult resident of the area.
Police recovered from the suspect an improvised .38-caliber revolver without a serial number, three live rounds of ammunition of the same caliber, a camouflage pouch, and PHP 4,000 in buy-bust money.
The suspect is under the custody of the Ivisan Municipal Police Station.
Charges for violation of Republic Act No. 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, will be filed against him.
