ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Twelve wanted persons were arrested during weeklong police operations in Capiz.
Based on the Capiz Police Provincial Office weekly accomplishment report from May 18 to 24, 2026, five of those arrested were listed as most wanted persons, while seven were classified as other wanted persons.
Police also arrested three persons for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Authorities confiscated 13 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP 88,400.
Three others were arrested for violating Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Police recovered three unlicensed firearms, while nine others were voluntarily surrendered.
Meanwhile, 19 persons were arrested for illegal fishing during four operations.
Authorities recovered fishing paraphernalia worth about PHP 1,001,000.
