ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A reporter of an FM radio station here died after his motorcycle collided with a tanker truck late Sunday afternoon at Brgy Lawaan here.
Ron Andalecio of Radyo Todo-Capiz expired after two days of fighting for his life.
Known as ‘kaTodong Ron Delicious’, Andalecio was a native of Libacao, Aklan but was temporarily residing in Barangay Lawaan, Roxas City.
Andelecio was on his way home when he accidentally hit the tanker truck parked along the national highway.
Because of the strong impact, the reporter suffered fatal injuries in the head and other parts of the body.
The Capiz Emergency Response Team (CERT) immediately responded to the incident and took the victim to the hospital.
Andalecio was about to be transferred to a hospital in Iloilo Wednesday morning but he died the night before.
The driver of the tanker truck identified as Jennifer De Asis voluntarily surrendered to the police.
The police are conducting an investigation on the incident.
