Capiz logs 43 dengue cases

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Dengue cases in the province of Capiz surged to 43 following 9 more persons getting infected last week.
Based on the data released by the Capiz Provincial Health Office, the new cases were in Jamindan, Mambusao, Pilar, Roxas City (1 case each), and Tapaz (5).
Dengue cases from Jan to Feb 5, 2023 surged by 94% compared to the same period last year which had 17 cases.
At present, health authorities noted a clustering of cases in barangays Agpalali and Roxas, both in Tapaz, after posting 5 new cases.
Of the 43 cases, 19 are in Tapaz, 8 in Roxas City, 3 in Pilar, 12 each in Cuartero, Dumarao, Jamindan, Panitan and Pontevedra, and one each in Dumalag, Mambusao and Panay.
