Capiz jeepney drivers set to get PHP 5,000 aid

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Hundreds of jeepney drivers in Capiz are expected to receive PHP 5,000 each in cash relief assistance on Tuesday, May 12.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development in Western Visayas will lead the payout at Robinsons Place in Barangay Lawaan, Roxas City, starting at 11 a.m.
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board provided the list of beneficiaries.
The beneficiaries are from the towns of Maayon, Panay, Panitan, President Roxas, Pilar, Cuartero, Dao, Dumalag, Dumarao, Ivisan, Jamindan, Mambusao, Sapian, Sigma, and Tapaz, as well as Roxas City.
The DSWD-6 advised beneficiaries to bring their original valid driver’s license and one photocopy of the document.
The agency also advised beneficiaries to check that their names and driver’s license details are correct before going to the payout center.
A help desk will be set up at the payout venue to assist those whose names are not on the list.
The payout in Roxas City is part of the scheduled release of assistance to thousands of public utility vehicle drivers in different venues across Western Visayas.
