Capiz cops seized P5.7M worth of illegal drugs in 2020

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The Capiz police force recovered some PHP5.7-million worth of illegal drugs last year.
Records from the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) indicated that 613.22741 grams of shabu were recovered in 2020, higher than 296.0002 grams of shabu (street value of PHP3,552,073.68) seized in 2019.
Roxas City Police Station made the biggest drug haul valued at PHP3,796,345.48 while the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) seized PHP1,537,505.88 worth of drugs.
In the municipal police stations level in Capiz, the Pontevedra Police Station confiscated worth PHP141,002.67 worth of drugs, while the towns of Cuartero, Dao, Jamindan and Maayon Municipal Police Stations posted zero recoveries.
Police conducted 122 illegal drugs operations last year.
Meanwhile, Police Colonel Julio Gustilo Jr., encouraged each police station to intensify their operations against illegal drugs.
