ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The Capiz Police Provincial Office(CPPO) launched the “PUGA Kontra COVID19,” in line with the PNP’s Adoption of Indigent Family Program, whose recipients are indigent families of Brgys. Masgrau, Jamindan and Poblacion, Mambusao.
The phrase “PUGA kontra COVID19” means Police United Group Advocates against COVID-19.
It is an initiated food donation drive of CPPO in partnership with CPMFC, HPG-Capiz, Capiz Medical Team, Jamindan and Mambusao PNP.
Colonel Julio Gustilo said the partners donated food packs for distribution to the poorest of the poor, particularly in remote barangays, by police bikers.
“We are here not only to share these food packs but we simply want to convey that Capiz PNP on its sincerest way would like to be of help to our Provincial Government’s ‘Serbisyo Kabalaka’ in supporting the Capiznon, especially the needy in this time of Covid pandemic crisis,” Gustilo said.
Gustilo appealed to the public for support as this is one way to maintain peace and order of the community.
“Also, I would like to appeal for your support to our peacekeeping and public safety efforts in our Province, particularly in our road safety advocacy and anti-criminality campaign. By maintaining your barangay a crime-less or if possible a crime-free barangay that would already be a great help to your local PNP,” Gustilo said to the recipients
