ROXAS CITY, Capiz — The Capiz Police Provincial Office and Capiz Emmanuel Hospital formally signed a memorandum of understanding Monday, March 9, at Camp Teodorico C. Apil in Barangay Lanot, Roxas City.
Police Col. Albert D. Tapulao, provincial director of the Capiz Police Provincial Office, signed the agreement with lawyer Lovel D. Bedona, chairman of the board of trustees and hospital management team.
The agreement aims to provide medical support for police personnel.
The signing was witnessed by Nona C. Franco, CEH finance director; Barangay Lanot village chief Frank Cabacas; and Capt. Ivan Leo A. Salad, team leader of the Capiz police medical and dental team.
Under the agreement, Capiz Emmanuel Hospital will extend medical services to Philippine National Police personnel in Capiz who need hospitalization and medical consultation, even without prior endorsement from the police office.
Tapulao said the undertaking reflects the commitment of both institutions to support police personnel by ensuring access to health care as they continue their duty to maintain peace and order in the province.
The partnership is expected to improve access to medical assistance for police personnel, particularly in cases requiring immediate consultation or hospitalization.
