ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Six wanted persons were arrested by the Capiz Police Provincial Office during weeklong operations from March 2 to 8, 2026.
Based on the Capiz Police Provincial Office weekly accomplishment report, one of the six arrested was listed as a most wanted person, while the five others were classified as other wanted persons.
The arrested individuals were facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Police said about 101 grams of suspected illegal drugs with a standard drug price of PHP 688,377 were confiscated.
Meanwhile, 13 firearms and one explosive device were voluntarily surrendered to police under Tokhang Kontra Armas-Luthang.
Police also arrested six people caught in the act of conducting illegal fishing activities in Capiz waters.
Authorities said fishing paraphernalia and a fishing boat worth PHP 320,000 were confiscated.
The operations formed part of the provincial police’s continuing campaign against wanted persons, illegal drugs, loose firearms and illegal fishing.
