Capiz coops to showcase products

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A cooperative product showcase will open today, Oct 28, 2022 at Robinsons Place in Brgy. Lawaan here as part of the 29th Provincial Cooperative Month celebration.
The two-day exhibit will be participated in by various cooperatives from Roxas City and municipalities that will display their respective agri-aqua products and souvenir items and home decors, among others.
The opening ceremonies of the exhibit will be graced by local elected officials led by Gov. Fredenil Castro, Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) employees, partner agencies and exhibitors.
Dr. Gilbert Ardivilla, Sangguniang Panlalawigan Committee on Cooperatives chair, said that the celebration will highlight through various day-long culminating activities on Oct. 31 in the Capiz Gymnasium following a foot parade from the Provincial Capitol Grounds to the gym.
“The celebration aims to recognize the crucial role of cooperatives and cooperativism in economic and social development,” Ardivilla said.
Republic Act No. 11502 declares the month of October of every year as the National Cooperative Month.
This year’s theme is “KooPinas: Nagkakaisang Lakas Para sa Makabuluhan at Sama-samang Pag-unlad!.” (PIA)
