ROXAS CITY, Capiz — All employees of the provincial government of Capiz received 25 kilos of rice and Christmas food packs each during a gift distribution led by Gov. Fredenil Oto Castro on Friday morning, Dec. 19, in front of the provincial capitol.
Castro said the distribution included job order employees. The Christmas food packs contained ham and spaghetti.
The governor also announced that around 5,000 tricycle drivers across the province will receive Christmas gifts from the provincial government.
He noted this is the first time the provincial government is extending holiday aid to tricycle drivers.
“This is to show that the provincial government has sufficient funds, contrary to what critics have been saying — that the province has no more money available due to several financial obligations,” Castro said.
Castro also announced that all regular employees will receive bonuses ranging from PHP 50,000 to PHP 65,000, depending on their qualifications.
Meanwhile, job order personnel will receive PHP 10,000 each.
