Capiz authorities arrest three for theft

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Law enforcement officials on Monday, March 18 arrested three individuals during coordinated operations in the towns of Tapaz and President Roxas in Capiz.
In Tapaz, police executed arrest warrants for a 42-year-old known as “Ilon” from Barangay Rizal Sur and a 20-year-old referred to as “Jun” from Barangay Candelaria.
Both were apprehended at a relative’s home in Barangay Daang Banwa, Tapaz. The warrants, issued by Judge Irene Banzuela Didulo of the Regional Trial Court 6, Branch 67 in Guimbal, Iloilo on September 23, 2023, set the bail at P60,000 each for their temporary release.
The Tapaz and Guimbal PNP, in collaboration with the 2nd Capiz Mobile Force Company, managed the operation, placing the two under Tapaz Municipal Police Station’s jurisdiction for subsequent legal proceedings.
Simultaneously, in President Roxas, Capiz, a man faced arrest for qualified theft on Monday afternoon.
The arrest order for “Dodoy” stems from a mandate by Judge Loralie Cruz Datahan of the Regional Trial Court Judicial Region, Branch 69 in Taguig City, dated December 1, 2020.
The court has set bail at P80,000 for his provisional release.
He is currently in custody at the President Roxas Municipal Police Station awaiting further legal action.
