BACOLOD City – The provincial government of Negros Occidental is set to check the electricity usage of Panaad Park and Stadium after the monthly bill amounted to P600,000.
Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said they are currently monitoring the power consumption of the park.
He said the electricity bills do not even include the consumption of the whole stadium as these only cover the pavilions.
The 32 local government units (LGUs) in Negros Occidental including Bacolod City have permanent pavilions at the Panaad Park and the provincial government shoulders all the electricity consumption for the yearly Panaad sa Negros celebration.
On the other hand Diaz said the road clearing operations has also covered the Panaad Park. It is currently undergoing repairs in preparation for the provincial meet and upcoming games.
He said the area is also being cleared of informal settlers.
