Capitol employees to get bonus next week

BACOLOD City – The more than 3,000 employees of the Negros Occidental provincial government will receive their P60,000 bonus next week.
This as the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Negros Occidental approved the P191.820-million budget for the Incentive Benefit for Exemplary Services (IBES) and Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI) of 3,197 employees and officials.
Provincial Budget Officer Jose Percival Salado said that each Capitol employee will receive P60,000 in bonuses – P55,000 for the IBES and P5,000 for the PEI.
Salado said payments to PEI and IBES are now on process, and Capitol employees are expected to receive them by Monday, Dec 23.
Board Member Rommel Debulgado, chairperson of the SP Committee on Finance, said the additional bonus will be taken from the Personal Services savings, by way of augmentation, in accordance with Section 336 of RA 7160, or the Local Government Code of 1991.
Last year Capitol employees received P80,000 as additional bonus.
