ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Gov. Fredenil “Oto” Castro through the Provincial Health Office (PHO) advised the Capiznons about the serious problems caused by dengue that affected 396 persons here.
Based on the data released by PHO Friday, July 29, the province logged 28 new cases.
Roxas City has 152 cases, followed by Jamindan (89), Dao (25), Tapaz and Pontevedra (18 each), Sapian (11), Mambusao, Sigma, Cuartero and Panay (10 each), Maayon (9), Ivisan (7), Dumalag, President Roxas, and Pilar (6 each), Dumarao (5), and Panit-an (4).
A 23-day-old boy was the youngest person stricken by dengue while a 77-year-old woman was the oldest. Most of the dengue victims are 10 to 19 years old.
Castro advised the Capicenos to help in the prevention of dengue by following the 4s Kontra Dengue or the Search and Destroy, Seek Early Consultation, Self-Protection Measures and Say No to Indiscriminate Fogging.
