ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A Capiceño laborer who had been hiding for 5 years from a rape complaint filed in Bulacan province was collared by police Wednesday afternoon, July 19, at Barangay Calapawan, Panay, Capiz.
Renato Belo, 48, of Barangay Poblacion Ilawod, Panay, was nabbed at around 2:15 pm by the Panay Municipal Police Station, Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), Capiz Tracker Team, Capiz Maritime Police Station and Malolos City Police Station.
Judge Victoria C. Fernandez-Bernardo of the Regional Trial Court Branch 18 in Malolos City, Bulacan issued the arrest warrant on December 13, 2019.
The court did not recommend bail for Belo’s temporary liberty. He is presently under the custody of Panay PNP Station for proper disposition.
