ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 45-year-old Capicena Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) is the eighth person under investigation (PUI) for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Leah del Rosario, Capiz Provincial Health Office (PHO) officer-in-charge, said the woman arrived from Hong Kong on Feb 15, 2020.
On Feb 23, she manifested coughs and itchiness of throat.
On Feb 26, she sought medical consultations and on the same day she was admitted to a hospital here for quarantine.
Her specimen was collected and sent to Research Institute for Tropical Medicine in Alabang, Muntinlupa City for tests.
Capiz is still coronavirus-free despite several PUIs that underwent quarantine.
