TAPAZ, Capiz – A 27-year-old lineman of Capiz Electric Cooperative (CAPELCO) died after he was accidentally electrocuted while troubleshooting an electrical distribution line Monday evening at Barangay Malitbog here.
Police identified the victim as Regie Argañosa of Barangay San Antonio, Tapaz, Capiz.
A power outage occurred in the village the reason why Argañosa’s team responded to the area.
Unfortunately, Argañosa accidentally touched a live wire.
It took several minutes before his body was retrieved from the pole.
Argañosa was declared dead at Tapaz District Hospital.
