CaMIA celebrates its 12th year of insuring Filipino families

CARD MRI Insurance Agency, Inc. (CaMIA), a member institution of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI), celebrated its 12^th anniversary with an award for its outstanding performance as a travel insurance agency given by the PIONEER Insurance.

“We, at CaMIA, are established as an institution that aims to create resilient communities in times of uncertainties and to provide safety nets for everyone,” said CaMIA President and General Manager Vener S. Abellera.

 

The birth of CaMIA

In 2006, many people, especially the Bicolanos, lost their lives and properties during the super typhoon Reming.

“Our clients are devastated from what happened to them. We provided relief goods but one client approached us and asked why we are not giving things they could use to build their houses again and start their life again,” said CaMIA President and General Manager Vener S. Abellera.

In this light, CARD realized the need to provide non-life insurance products that would give a safety net to the vulnerable communities in the midst of uncertainties brought about calamities.

On June 15, 2007, CaMIA was established.

 

Waving to success

Today, the commitment continues with CaMIA as it proudly celebrates its 12 years in the life and non-life insurance industry.

“As we look back over the years, we are extremely proud of our services in securing more than 800,000 individuals in times of need. We are offering our life and non-life insurance products at the most affordable premium rate,” Abellera added.

He also emphasized that the contributions of the CARD MRI management brought the institution on this meaningful journey. He also thanked the staff who supported and dedicated their time and effort to make the institution go beyond its success.

“Above all, we also want to thank our dear clients for their confidence and appreciation in our products and services,” he concluded.

CaMIA is the microinsurance agency of life and non-life insurance products of the four financial institutions of CARD MRI namely Center for Agriculture and Rural Development, (CARD) Inc., CARD Bank, CARD SME Bank, and CARD MRI Rizal Bank, Inc.

In 2018, Pacific Cross Insurance, Inc. recognized CaMIA as top 2 producer agent.

The celebration was celebrated its anniversary through a thanksgiving mass on August 2, 2019.

CaMIA, together with the other institutions of CARD MRI, will continue to create a nation responsive to the challenges of the changing world.
