The beloved bon vivant and retired businessman Ceferino “Caloy” Trespeses made a grand return from the U.S. just in time to celebrate his fabulous 98th birthday in signature style—with none other than his ever-elegant wife, Sara Trespeses, by his side.
Held at the lively Seda Atria Hotel in Iloilo, the razzle-worthy, navy-themed luncheon and dance affair was an afternoon of glamour, good food, and great company, as family, friends, and well-wishers gathered to toast Tito Caloy’s milestone moment.
Guests were serenaded by the ever-so-smooth Savvy Acoustic Band as they indulged in a spread of sweet and savory delights, setting the tone for an upbeat celebration of life and legacy that radiated nothing but love and joy for our dashing celebrant.
No detail was left unattended, thanks to the thoughtful planning of the Trespeses family, led by the ever-glowing Marjorie Trespeses-Mella, who ensured that every guest felt the warmth and energy of this unforgettable day.
Heartfelt messages were delivered on stage by close friends and family, showering Tito Caloy and his radiant Sara with affection and stories that filled the air with laughter, nostalgia, and more than a few happy tears.
And what’s a birthday bash without some showstopping performances?
The belle of the hour, Dr. Elsie Losin, together with her dance partner Rasty Berlanas, wowed the crowd with a captivating DanceSport tango number that added flair to the afternoon’s entertainment.
This was followed by a lively navy-themed dance from the Ilo.IDO dance group—featuring none other than Marjorie herself—who set the dance floor on fire and opened the ballroom soiree with infectious energy.
To everyone’s delight, Tito Caloy, ever the life of the party, showed that age is merely a number as he took to the floor, swinging and swaying like a man half his age, to cheers and applause from all his beloved “dahlings!”
“Age is just a number,” said the ever-spirited Tito Caloy.
“But love of life and God keeps us inspired every day!”
To that, we raise our glasses in celebration—cheers to you, our dearest Tito Caloy, and may your dancing shoes never wear out.
Happiest birthday and God bless!
