A call center agent died after he was electrocuted while fixing a Wi-Fi connection in San Lorenzo, Guimaras, on the afternoon of Oct. 15.
According to police reports, alias Mario, 33, of Sitio Langab Baybay, San Enrique, San Lorenzo, sustained a severe electric shock.
The victim was reportedly repairing a Piso WiFi vendor machine inside his brother’s house when the incident occurred.
He was electrocuted while dismantling an extension wire without realizing it was still plugged into a power socket.
Mario was thrown to the ground and lost consciousness.
A relative saw him and immediately turned off the main switch.
Mario was brought to the Guimaras Specialist Medical Center in San Lorenzo but was declared dead on arrival.
