ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A member of the Citizen Armed Forces Geographical Unit (CAFGU) who is wanted for rape was arrested Sunday afternoon at Brgy. Daan Sur, Tapaz, Capiz.
Rex Resurrection, 22, a resident of Daan Sur, is now detained at Tapaz Municipal Police Station.
The warrant for his arrest was issued by Judge Rommel Lacson Leonor of the Regional Trial Court Branch 21 in Mambusao, Capiz on March 9, 2021.
Meanwhile, a 38-year-old driver was arrested Sunday afternoon in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) and Ivisan and Mambusao Municipal Police Stations at Barangay Ilaya-Ivisan, Ivisan.
Police identified the suspect as Nonito Borres Denosta Jr. of Barangay Sitio Nasagud, Barangay Lanot, Roxas City.
Recovered from Denosta were three sachets of suspected shabu, P500 marked money, and a cellphone.
The seized substance weighed around one gram and valued at P6,800.
