The Philippine Statistics Authority Negros Occidental Provincial Statistical Office formally turned over 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System data files to Cadiz City and the Municipality of Murcia in separate activities in April 2026.
Cadiz City officially received its 2024 CBMS data files, along with the notarized Data Turnover Agreement, from PSA Negros Occidental on April 16, 2026, in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
The Cadiz turnover was announced by PSA Negros Occidental in a press release dated April 27, 2026, with reference No. PR2026-04-1845-65.
PSA said the turnover signified the official transfer of responsibility and authorized use of the data to the local government unit.
Through CBMS, the Cadiz City government gains access to comprehensive and disaggregated data that can guide resource allocation, identify priority sectors, and design targeted interventions responsive to the needs of its constituents.
PSA said the turnover also marked a collaborative effort between the agency and the City of Cadiz to ensure that accurate and up-to-date data are made accessible to support evidence-based governance and local development planning.
City Planning and Development Coordinator Engr. Gilbert V. Alparito, EnP, and Statistician II Jezel M. Basiya led the receiving of the flash drive containing the 2024 CBMS data files, the notarized DTA, and the signed acknowledgment receipt.
The Cadiz data were delivered by PSA Negros Occidental representatives Statistical Specialist II Fredimar M. Gonzales and Benjie Lee P. Seriñas.
Meanwhile, the 2024 CBMS data files were formally turned over to the Municipality of Murcia by PSA Negros Occidental on April 27, 2026, in Murcia, Negros Occidental.
The Murcia turnover was announced by PSA Negros Occidental in a press release dated April 29, 2026, with reference No. PR2026-04-1845-67.
PSA said the turnover marked a significant milestone in strengthening Murcia’s local-level statistics and supporting evidence-based planning and decision-making.
Through CBMS, the Murcia municipal government gains access to comprehensive and disaggregated data that can guide the formulation of policies, inform resource allocation, identify priority sectors, and support the design of targeted interventions responsive to the needs of its constituents.
Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator Julie Christy M. Amayao-Gawal, EnP, personally welcomed the PSA staff and conveyed her appreciation for the official turnover of the CBMS data to the municipal government.
Amayao-Gawal led the formal acceptance of the 2024 CBMS data files, the notarized Data Transfer Agreement, and the signed acknowledgment receipt, pledging to ensure the proper use and safeguarding of the information.
She was joined by Municipal Engineer Danilo Sedonio Jr., Executive Assistant Erwin Rommel M. Apua, and Municipal Local Civil Registrar Romulo N. Torrecarion Jr.
The Murcia data were delivered by PSA Negros Occidental Provincial Statistical Office representatives Statistical Specialist II Fredimar M. Gonzales and Information Systems Analyst I Benjie Lee P. Seriñas.
