Butcher nabbed in Dumarao drug bust

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 42-year-old butcher was arrested Friday night in a drug buy-bust at Barangay Ongol Ilaya, Dumarao, Capiz.
Police identified the suspect as Joaquin Nalagon Robles of Brgy. San Juan, Dumarao.
Robles was immediately nabbed around 11 p.m. after handing over a sachet of suspected illegal drugs to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for P3,500.
The police also recovered from the suspect three more sachets of suspected shabu weighing 6 grams and valued at P40,800, a cellphone, and a motorcycle.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against him before the Provincial Prosecutor Office.
The operation was jointly conducted by the Police Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and the Station Drug Enforcement Teams of Dumarao, Cuartero, and Dao Municipal Police Stations.
