ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A businessman was shot dead by a man posing as a customer inside his furniture shop on the morning of May 31 in Barangay Rizal, Pontevedra, Capiz.
Police identified the victim only as “Lorenzo,” of legal age and a resident of the same barangay.
According to the investigation, the suspect entered the shop and inquired about the price of a wooden door.
While the victim had his back turned, the suspect drew an unidentified caliber firearm and shot him five times.
The suspect fled on a motorcycle toward President Roxas town without wearing a bonnet or helmet.
Bystanders brought the victim to a nearby hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival.
Police are conducting a manhunt and investigation to determine the identity of the gunman.
