Businessman hurt in Bacolod shooting

BACOLOD City – A businessman was injured after he was shot by an unidentified suspect at Barangay Vista Alegre here Monday night.
Police Major Sherlock Gabana, Police Station 7 commander, said Alfredo Remosura, 42, was about to close his store when a lone gunman allegedly fired at him at close range.
The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was brought to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital. He was then transferred to a private hospital.
Police recovered from the scene bullets of an unknown caliber.
Gabana said they are eyeing the incident as business-related because the victim told the police that someone has allegedly been monitoring his movements recently.
It might be triggered by business rivalry, he added.
The victim is already stable in a hospital.
