ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A 44-year-old businessman was arrested Tuesday evening, July 7, in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by police in Barangay Binuntucan, Pontevedra, Capiz.
Pontevedra police identified the suspect as alias Toto, a businessman and resident of Barangay Tabuc in the same town.
Police classified him as a street-level individual who had been under monitoring and surveillance before the operation.
Recovered from the suspect were four sachets of suspected shabu weighing 3 grams with an estimated street value of PHP 20,400, along with the PHP 500 buy-bust money.
The suspect is in the custody of the Pontevedra Municipal Police Station for proper disposition, while charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against him.
