Businessman arrested for illegal firearm in Cuartero, Capiz
ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A businessman was arrested after being caught carrying an unlicensed firearm in Barangay Agdahon, Cuartero, Capiz on the evening of Feb. 19, 2026. The Cuartero Municipal Police Station identified the suspect as alias Lon, 42, a resident of Naic, Cavite, who was temporarily residing in the area.

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A businessman was arrested after being caught carrying an unlicensed firearm in Barangay Agdahon, Cuartero, Capiz on the evening of Feb. 19, 2026.
The Cuartero Municipal Police Station identified the suspect as alias Lon, 42, a resident of Naic, Cavite, who was temporarily residing in the area.
At about 10:35 p.m., a police officer heard shouting outside and found the suspect challenging others to a fight.
When police arrived and attempted to confront him, the suspect fled but was later apprehended by barangay officials.
Police recovered from the suspect a .45-caliber Colt pistol with live ammunition, one OPPO Android mobile phone, and a sling bag.
The suspect is in the custody of Cuartero Municipal Police Station and faces charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
