Anne Janet Mandreza from the Municipality of Buenavista was crowned Miss Guimaras 2023 on May 19 during the pageant’s coronation night held at the Capitol Event Area.
Mandreza bested eight other candidates from the five municipalities of the island province and took home numerous special and corporate awards.
The 20-year old Tourism Management student of Central Philippine University was awarded Best in Interview and snatched the Festival Costume Online Choice Award.
She was named Miss Tanduay, Miss Suzuki and brought home a brand new motorcycle given by the Japanese car company.
It’s a double win for the Municipality of Buenavista as Christine Joy Gabayoyo was proclaimed second runner-up.
Kara Athena De Leon, 18, of Nueva Valencia placed first runer-up.
Darra Lorriene Sadsad and Keira Paderos, both from the Municipality of Sibunag, complete the Top 5 finalists of Miss Guimaras 2023.
Paderos snatched the Miss Photogenic, Best in Evening Gown, and Best in Mango Couture awards while Sadsad was awarded Best in Tourism Advocacy Video.
Mandreza took home Php 50,000.00 as cash prize while the first and second runners-up received Php 30,000.00 and Php 20,000.00 respectively.
Performances from showbiz personalities Vin Abrenica and Yves Flores added color to the pageant’s finale.
Ms. Vanessa Tse-Wing who represented the Province of Guimaras in the recently concluded Miss Universe Philippines 2023 was one of the judges.
