BSP wins Gawad Maestro Learning and Development Award
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) received the “Gawad Maestro Learning and Development (L&D) Organization of the Year Award (Public Sector)” from the Philippine Society for Talent Development (PSTD) during PSTD’s 46th National Convention held Oct 21, 2021.
The BSP received the distinction for transforming and elevating its human resource functions, including L&D activities, to the level of strategic management.
“We’re happy to receive these recognitions as BSP always strives to take care of its best asset – its people,” BSP Governor Benjamin E. Diokno said.
PSTD also cited BSP for performance excellence by championing L&D programs, fostering a strong learning culture in the workplace, and continuing to carry out L&D programs during the pandemic through a combination of alternative learning modalities.
These programs include “Mentoring and Inspiring Learning Experiences” (MILEs) which has BSP Governor Diokno as one of the mentors, and “BSP EDGE” (Education in the Digital Generation), a learning experience platform that provides a deeper and wider menu of learning tools for BSP’s different job families.
PSTD also recognized BSP’s Capacity Development Department Director Iñigo L. Regalado III as the first runner up for the L&D Manager of the Year.
PSTD described Mr. Regalado as an L&D manager who succeeded in building a strong learning culture in the workplace and has made significant contributions in the growth, development, and success of his team members.
Launched in March 2011 and held every two years, Gawad Maestro seeks to recognize outstanding public and private organizations that have exhibited innovation and dynamism in L&D policies and programs.
