The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) launched a redesigned version of its official website on July 3, 2025, aiming to enhance public access to financial information and bolster digital engagement.
Unveiled during the BSP’s 32nd anniversary week, the overhaul is part of the central bank’s broader digital transformation program and follows the recent launch of its mobile app in April.
According to the BSP, the new website design is guided by international best practices and was developed with input from multiple focus group discussions involving key stakeholders.
“The BSP remains committed to making its platforms more accessible and responsive to the evolving needs of our stakeholders,” the central bank said in a statement.
The updated portal offers a mobile-responsive interface, faster page load speeds, and simplified navigation features that cater to both casual users and financial professionals.
Key additions include a dedicated highlights section showcasing real-time exchange rates, updated press releases, and a release calendar for scheduled publications.
The website’s content has been reorganized for clarity, allowing users to more efficiently access monetary policy updates, banking regulations, and statistical reports.
This move complements the BSP’s mobile app rollout, which the bank said provides Filipinos with “a seamless and convenient means of accessing BSP information and services.”
BSP officials underscored that continued feedback from the public will shape future updates to the platform.
“The new BSP website reflects our digital-first mindset and our determination to improve how we serve the Filipino public and financial sector,” the central bank added.
The website remains accessible at www.bsp.gov.ph, where users can explore the changes and submit feedback on their experience.
The redesign arrives amid growing demand for user-friendly, transparent access to economic data and policy updates, particularly as the central bank plays a pivotal role in price stability and financial inclusion.
In recent years, digital modernization has been a cornerstone of BSP Governor Eli M. Remolona Jr.’s leadership, with initiatives aimed at improving transparency and technological adoption across the financial system.
The BSP has also been working to improve digital literacy and cybersecurity awareness through campaigns aligned with its Digital Payments Transformation Roadmap 2020–2023, which targets converting 50% of all retail transactions to digital by 2026.
As of 2024, over 42 million Filipinos were already using online banking services, according to the BSP, signaling the increasing importance of digital platforms in public engagement.
