The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas launched the BSP Mobile app on April 14, 2025, to make financial information and services more accessible to Filipinos and investors.
“The BSP Mobile app is our way of staying connected with the public,” said BSP Deputy Governor Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, who led the launch at the BSP head office in Manila.
She said the app allows users to check key rates and announcements, locate coin deposit machines or BSP offices, file complaints through chatbot BOB, and stay updated with BSP news and advisories.
Managing Director Charina B. De Vera-Yap emphasized the app’s user-focused features.
“This platform aims to enhance your experience and encourage greater interaction with the BSP,” she said.
She added that the app can be used offline once downloaded and allows for personalization based on user interests.
Director Reynaldo Florencio T. Zipagan highlighted the importance of user feedback in improving the app.
“With the official launch of the BSP Mobile app, we look forward to everyone becoming champions by promoting the app and helping improve it through your feedback,” he said.
Developed in-house, the app complements the BSP website by offering a mobile-friendly, personalized experience.
It uses device-specific features such as push notifications and location services to better serve users.
Key features include:
• A service locator for BSP regional offices
• Real-time push notifications for news and advisories
• The BSP Online Buddy (BOB) for filing complaints against BSP-supervised institutions
• An interactive 1,000-piso polymer banknote that educates users on its design and security features
Monetary Board Members Benjamin E. Diokno, Rosalia V. De Leon, and Jose L. Querubin, along with Deputy Governors Chuchi G. Fonacier and Mamerto E. Tangonan, also attended the ceremony.
The BSP continues to enhance the app and plans to add more features and services.
BSP Mobile is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
