BSP, DSWD discuss digitalization of ayuda

Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Deputy Governor Bernadette Romulo-Puyat (fourth from the left) met with Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex T. Gatchalian (fifth from the left) to explore enhanced collaboration in the digitalization of government financial assistance. The meeting was held on 24 April 2023 at the DSWD Head Office in Quezon City.  Distributing cash assistance via the transaction accounts of the beneficiaries is a priority under the National Strategy for Financial Inclusion (NSFI) 2022-2028. The NSFI aims to accelerate financial inclusion in the country, enabling more Filipinos, especially the vulnerable, to access a broad range of welfare-enhancing financial services.
