BACOLOD City – Local police arrested two brothers and their cousin in a buy-bust at Sitio Lupao, Barangay Quezon, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental last Saturday.
The suspects were identified by police as Joemarie Paran, 35, his brother Arjames Paran, 22, and their cousin Arnel Paran, 28, all residents of the said village.
Lieutenant Ruby Aurita, deputy police chief of San Carlos City Police Station, said that Joemarie is a drug surrenderer and the main subject of the operation.
Aurita said Arjames and Arnel were identified as street level individuals.
Police seized from the trio 1.2 kilograms of suspected marijuana worth P144,000 and the P1,100 marked money.
Aurita said police also confiscated from Joemarie a .45 caliber loaded with magazine and two live ammunition.
Aurita said drug charges are being readied against the three suspects.
