BACOLOD City – A six-year-old boy was found dead in a river at Barangay Hilamonan, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental last Thursday.
Police withheld the name of the victim who is a resident of Barangay Orong.
Investigation indicated that according to the victim’s mother, he went to the river to take a bath without asking permission from her. He was accompanied by his minor friends.
His father got very worried when he failed to go home and went looking for him until he was found floating along the stream.
Concerned citizens helped the victim and he was brought to Lorenzo Zayco District Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
