BACOLOD City – A five-year-old boy died from drowning in a swimming pool at Barangay Sag-ang, La Castellana, Negros Occidental last Friday.
Police withheld the name of the victim.
Investigation showed that the victim and his four-year-old sister took a cotton fruit (santol) at the back of their house beside the swimming pool when he slipped and fell into the pool.
Later in the evening, when their mother arrived, she saw the victim’s body in the pool, prompting her to bring him to the hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
