BACOLOD City – A four-year-old boy was found dead in Malogo river at Barangay Nanca, E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental Thursday.
Police withheld the name of the minor-victim.
Police Captain Wilfredo Benoman Jr. said the victim was taking a bath with his parents at the river last Wednesday when he got separated from them due to the strong current.
Benoman said that his father tried to rescue him but he failed. They called for assistance but search and rescue operation was stopped around 9 p.m. for the safety of the rescuers.
Benoman said the child was found floating at the river a few kilometers away from their house, the following day.
