ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A bookkeeper from Barangay Conciencia in Panitan, Capiz was shot dead by two motorcycle riding suspects Thursday afternoon at Barangay, Agbabadiang also in Panitan.
Police identified the victim as Joey Fegarido, 51, of Barangay Conciencia.
Investigation by Panitan Municipal Police Station under Police Corporal Mark Rendon indicated that Fegarido was on his way home on board a motorcycle after buying cement in Pontevedra town when he was gunned down.
He died at Bailan District Hospital in Pontevedra town.
The victim suffered four gunshot wounds in different parts of his body.
Police recovered from the crime scene six empty shells of .45-caliber ammunition.
Investigators said they already have “persons of interest.”
According to the family, the victim had no enemies.
