A native of Bohol province accused of carnapping was arrested evening of June 26 at Sta. Barbara, Iloilo.
Ronie Jardeleza, 36, a resident of Barangay Cayacay, Alicia, Bohol, was collared at his rented place in Cabaugao Sur, Sta Barbara.
Members of the Pavia Municipal Police Station, together with Sta. Barbara MPS, Alicia MPS, Cebu City Police Station 2, Iloilo Police Provincial Office-Provincial Intelligence Unit (IPPO-PIU), Highway Patrol Group and Iloilo Maritime Station, collared Jardeleza for alleged violation of Republic Act No. 10883 (The New Anti-Carnapping Law) docketed as Criminal Case No. R-CEB-23-03204-CR.
Judge Dante R. Corminal of Cebu issued the arrest warrant on June 2, 2023.
Major Dadje Delima, Pavia police chief, said the suspect was charged for stealing a motorcycle in Cebu City.
He and his live-in partner traveled to Iloilo bringing with them the stolen motorcycle.
They initially stayed in Calumpang, Molo, Iloilo and went to Pavia.
They were then caught in the nearby Sta. Barbara town.
Jardeleza will be transported back to Cebu.
