The Board of Investments (BOI) and Autodesk Philippines are exploring a strategic partnership to boost technology adoption and future-ready education across key sectors in the country.
In a meeting at the BOI Main Office in Makati on May 22, 2025, officials discussed collaborative efforts to provide academic institutions with access to Autodesk’s industry-standard software and digital technologies.
The talks focused on integrating Smart City solutions, Digital Twins, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies to enhance the country’s construction, manufacturing, and infrastructure sectors.
Autodesk, a global leader in 3D design and engineering software, highlighted how its tools can support the Philippines’ goals of sustainable and resilient urban development.
“Our technology spans architecture, engineering, construction, product design, manufacturing, media, and entertainment, empowering innovators to overcome challenges,” said Noah Arles, Technical Sales Manager for ASEAN at Autodesk.
“Autodesk software enables the creation of smarter, greener, and more connected communities,” he added.
The collaboration aligns with the BOI’s Academe-Industry Matching (AIM!) Program, launched in 2024, which bridges academic training with industry needs to build a globally competitive workforce.
AIM! is anchored on three pillars: K4F-PH (Kids for the Future of Philippine Industrialization), TRANSCEND (Transformational Skills-based Career Enrichment and Development), and ELEVATE (Enhance Learning Ecosystem and Value-Adding Competencies Towards Employment), in partnership with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
The increasing adoption of BIM in the Philippines underscores the urgency of cultivating a workforce skilled in digital construction and smart infrastructure tools.
By working with global tech firms like Autodesk, the BOI aims to accelerate innovation, promote inclusive industrial growth, and help the country become a regional hub for sustainability-driven industries.
