THE body of an elderly female was found floating in a lagoon inside the premises of the Department of Health-Center for Health Development (DOH-CHD)-6 regional office at Barangay Q. Abeto in Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
Hernan Labiogo, DOH-CDH-6 security guard, informed the police that the body was found around 7:45 a.m. of Aug. 8, 2019.
Police Major Marlon Valencia, Mandurriao police chief, said that the woman has yet to be identified.
The woman is believed to be around 60 years old.
Initial investigation showed no sign of foul play on the body.
Some reports indicated that the woman might be a folk of a patient of the nearby Western Visayas Medical Center.
Because of heavy rains and strong winds on Wednesday evening, it is believed that the woman may have slipped and drowned in the lagoon.
