Bobby Ray Parks Jr. dazzles in Japan B. League debut

Former PBA superstar Bobby Ray Parks Jr. was quick to introduce himself in Japan after impressing in his highly-anticipated B. League debut for team Nagoya.

The hefty lefty combo guard’s flawless performance helped Nagoya defeat the Gunma squad in a convincing fashion, 108-88

Parks was perfect from the field, sinking all of his five attempts to end his debut with 12 points, a dime, and a rebound in just 17 minutes of action.

The former TNT Tropang Giga star also provided the much-needed defensive lift Nagoya needed after playing solid defense against Gunma’s import Trey McKinney-Jones.

Parks joined a storied Nagoya franchise after finishing at the top of the B. League standings but eventually fell short in their bid for a championship.

Meanwhile, Parks’ co-Filipino Asian imports in the B. League will also make their Japan debut: Dwight Ramos, Kemark Cariño, Juan and Javi Gomez de Liaño, and Kobe Paras.

Gilas Pilipinas young star Thirdy Ravena already made his first game back with the San-En NeoPhoenix but suffered a disappointing overtime loss, 81-84.
