BACOLOD City – Negros Occidental provincial Board Member Andrew Montelibano said he will summon the operator of the Small Town Lottery (STL) in Negros Occidental after the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) ordered the resumption of the numbers game operations in the province.
Montelibano said the reason why he called the presence of Super Lucky Beaglers, Inc president Jexter Mercado is to find out what Implementing Rules and Regulations are set by the PCSO for their operations.
As chairman of the provincial board’s Committee on Games and Amusement, Montelibano he also wants to know if the STL operator in the province is following the PCSO’s rules and regulations, and if they are remitting the proper share of local government units from their earnings.
Earlier, PCSO-Bacolod branch manager Jose Manuel Villagracia said they lost P120 million after STL operations were suspended in August 2019.
STL operations across the country were halted following allegations of corruption within the PCSO.
