ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A case for violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 was filed against a security guard who was arrested Thursday afternoon, December 14, in a drug buy-bust conducted by police at Barangay San Roque, Dumalag, Capiz.
The case was filed against John Floyd Saldo of Barangay Sto. Angel, Dumalag before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office in Mambusao, Capiz on Friday morning last week.
Saldo did not resist when the operatives from Dumalag Municipal Police Station arrested him after handing over a sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer in exchange for the P3,500 marked money.
Recovered from the suspect were 6 sachets of suspected illegal drugs weighing 15 grams and valued at P102,000.
Major Cherryl Visto, Dumalag Municipal Police Station chief, said Saldo was also arrested early last year for the same offense. He was released after availing of a plea bargaining agreement.
Saldo is presently in the custody of Dumalag police station.
