Blackwater sends in new import in hopes of ending PBA slump

The Blackwater Bossing franchise is already sick of losing every game they play in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).

With five games already completed under their schedule, Blackwater still couldn’t find the answers to carve out a win and continued their losing streak to 24, the PBA’s worst.

Blackwater then confirmed that they will be replacing their current import Jaylen Bond for the athletic scoring swingman from the United States, Shawn Glover.

Glover, who went undrafted during the last 2014 NBA draft, displayed stellar numbers during his NCAA stint with the Oral Roberts.

The six-foot-seven forward became the team’s focal point on offense during his senior year and averaged 21.3 points during the 2013-2014 season.

However, the team is still uncertain whether they can field Glover in January due to some necessary documents that will take some time to complete.

“Open naman daw yung contract niya doon, so anytime he’s available to come over. Hopefully, he’ll be able to come over by our next game next year,” said Blackwater head coach Ariel Vanguardia.

Blackwater is eyeing January 5, 2022 for Glover to join the team as they face the Magnolia Hotshots and seek to end their 24-game losing streak.
