A blacksmith who was accused of killing a woman two decades ago was arrested late afternoon of March 21, 2021 in Sibalom, Antique.
Arnold Mariano, 50, of Barangay Odiong, Sibalom, was nabbed at his house around 5 p.m. Sunday.
His arrest was carried out by Sibalom Police Station, together with Antique Police Provincial Office (AnPPO) tracker teams, Counterintelligence Division- IG, Regional Intelligence Unit 6, Regional Intelligence Division – MIMAROPA, Romblon PPO, Looc Police Station, and PRO-MIMAROPA.
Mariano was collared by virtue of warrant of arrest for murder docketed as Criminal Case No. 1407.
Regional Trial Branch 82 Judge Francisco Fanlo Jr. of Odiongan, Romblon issued the arrest warrant on May 7, 2002. No bail was set for his temporary liberty.
Mariano is on the DILG’s list of Most Wanted Person. His arrest carried a monetary reward P90,000 under Memorandum Circular No. 2008-09.
The suspect was accused of killing Marjorie Musico on November 4, 2000 at Poblacion, Looc, Romblon.
