ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A businessman wanted for false testimony was arrested Saturday noon, Jan. 31, in Barangay Baybay.
Police said personnel of the Roxas City Police Station served a warrant of arrest against alias Athan, 49, along Arnaldo Boulevard at about 10:59 a.m.
The warrant was issued by Judge George Andy B. Pantanosas of the Municipal Circuit Trial Court, 4th Judicial Region, Branch 2, Binangonan, Rizal, on Jan. 23, 2026, for the crime of false testimony favorable to the defendants.
The suspect was released after posting PHP 18,000 bail for his temporary liberty, police said.
