BioPower turns over mobile swab unit to Negros Occ.

BACOLOD City – Negros Occidental gets a needed boost in the fight against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) after receiving a Mobile Swabbing Unit (MSU) from BioPower and Thomas and Lloyd.

Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said the MSU is vital in containing the virus.

BioPower Senior Manager Jack Celdran turned over the symbolic key to the MSU to Lacson at the provincial capitol.

Celdran said the this is the second unit donated by the group after delivering the first unit to Bacolod City.

“Throughout this crisis, Thomas and Lloyd and the Biopower Group remain committed to supporting communities and the government, contributing over P5 million to COVID response initiatives,” he said.

Celdran added that “the MSU will protect our medical workers and enhance response time when being deployed to areas across the province wherever swab collection is needed.”
