The province of Guimaras is counting down for the opening of the first dragon fruit festival in Western Visayas to be held on September 29-30, 2022.
Guimaras Dragon Fruit Fest: A Fresh Experience is expected to attract local tourists and visitors from the province’s neighboring provinces.
A bike caravan on September 29 will open the two-day festivities.
Around 100 cyclists from 10 associations of bikers will pedal from Jordan Wharf going to the Provincial Capitol Grounds.
The bike caravan will kickoff at 6:30 a.m. with cyclists from Guimaras and neighboring provinces participating in the event.
The bike caravan is one of the activities of the Guimaras Dragon Fruit Fest that will highlight one of the focus aspects of the celebration – health and wellness.
As biking has a lot of health benefits, this Bike Caravan is a toast to Guimaras’ aim to be recognized as the Bike Paradise of the Philippines.
Special prizes await the participants.
